Yet, not all welcome the light. Humanity has long struggled with the weight of truth. To walk in the light means to see clearly—not only the beauty of creation but also the brokenness of the world and the flaws within ourselves. The light reveals everything, stripping away illusions and exposing our lies. Many prefer the darkness because it is easier. In the shadows, one can hide, remain unchallenged, and live in the comfort of ignorance.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was the purest embodiment of this divine light. He came into the world to teach and illuminate—to pull back the veil and show humanity the way to God. Yet, the world rejected Him. Just as people cannot look directly at the sun without turning away, they cannot face the fullness of truth without recoiling. His words cut through deception, His presence shattered falsehoods, and His very existence was a challenge to those who thrived in darkness. The light of Christ was too bright for those who loved their own illusions.
But the truth does not fade, nor does the sun cease to rise. Even in the darkest times, when the world seems consumed by lies and corruption, the dawn remains inevitable. The question is not whether the light exists but whether we will step into it. Those who choose to walk in the light will see with new eyes. They will understand what was once hidden, and they will be transformed by that understanding.
For God’s light is not just meant to expose—it is meant to heal. The sun does not only burn; it also gives life. It warms the earth, causes growth, and sustains all living things. So too, does God’s truth. It may be painful at first, like the first rays of morning piercing the night, but ultimately, it is what brings life. To embrace the light is to embrace reality, and to embrace reality is to embrace God Himself.
The light calls to all. It is ever-present, ever-faithful, and ever-rising. The only question is whether we will open our eyes to see it.
